Fixturing device for drilling workpieces

A fixturing device for holding a workpiece having a longitudinal axis, said device comprising:

• a v-block having holding surfaces intersecting each other at an intersection and forming a v-shape, said v-block having a hole formed therein with a center axis being substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece and intersecting said intersection of said holding surfaces;
• a clamping arm mounted to said first v-block for clamping the workpiece in said v-block;
• and
• at least one drill bushing removably disposed in said hole of said v-block.

A fixturing device for holding a workpiece having a longitudinal axis, said device comprising:

• a first v-block having holding surfaces intersecting each other at an intersection and forming a v-shape, said first v-block having a hole formed therein with a center axis being substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece and intersecting said intersection of said holding surfaces;
• a clamping arm mounted to said first v-block for clamping the workpiece in said first v-block;
• a second v-block having holding surfaces intersecting each other at an intersection and forming a v-shape, said second v-block having a hole formed therein with a center axis being substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece and intersecting said intersection of said holding surfaces of said second v-block;
• a clamping arm mounted to said second v-block for clamping the workpiece to said second v-block;
• and
• at least one drill bushing removably disposed in one of said first v-block and said second v-block.
