Abstract
An image processing apparatus receives a job, analyzes the received job, generates a saved job that includes an image and output settings information and saves the generated saved job in a storage unit. The saved job that has been saved in the storage unit is output in response to a prescribed output operation. The image processing apparatus acquires a restriction on processing at the time of output and incorporates restriction information, which is indicative of the acquired restriction, in the output settings information. Processing for outputting such a saved job is restricted based upon the restriction information contained in the output settings information.
Claims18
A method of controlling an image processing apparatus, comprising:
- a receiving step of receiving a job;
- a filtering step of changing details of print settings of the received job;
- a control step of referring to information indicating whether execution of processing based upon said filtering step is permitted or prohibited and allowing said filtering step to act upon the job if the information indicates that execution is permitted;
- a generating step of analyzing the job received at said receiving step or the job processed at said filtering step and generating a saved job that includes an image and output settings information;
- a saving step of saving the saved job, which has been generated at said generating step, in storage means;
- and
- an output step of outputting the saved job, which has been saved in the storage means, in accordance with a predetermined operation.
A method of controlling an image processing apparatus, comprising:
- a receiving step of receiving a job;
- a generating step of analyzing the job received at said receiving step and generating a saved job that includes an image and output settings information;
- a saving step of saving the saved job, which has been generated at said generating step, in storage means;
- an output step of outputting the saved job, which has been saved in the storage means, in accordance with a predetermined operation;
- a restriction setting step of acquiring a restriction on processing at time of output at said output step and incorporating restriction information, which is indicative of the restriction, in the output settings information saved at said saving step;
- and
- a restricting step of restricting processing for outputting the saved job at said output step based upon the restriction information incorporated in the output settings information.
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- receiving means for receiving a job;
- generating means for analyzing the job received by said receiving means and generating a saved job that includes an image and output settings information;
- saving means for saving the saved job, which has been generated by said generating means, in storage means;
- output means for outputting the saved job, which has been saved in the storage means, in accordance with a predetermined operation;
- restriction setting means for acquiring a restriction on processing at time of output by said output means and incorporating restriction information, which is indicative of the restriction, in the output settings information saved by said saving means;
- and
- restricting means for restricting processing for outputting the saved job by said output means based upon the restriction information incorporated in the output settings information.
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- receiving means for receiving a job;
- filtering means for changing details of print settings of the received job;
- control means for referring to information indicating whether execution of processing by said filtering means is permitted or prohibited and allowing said filtering means to act upon the job if the information indicates that execution is permitted;
- generating means for analyzing the job received by said receiving means or the job processed by said filtering means and generating a saved job that includes an image and output settings information;
- saving means for saving the saved job, which has been generated by said generating means, in storage means;
- and
- output means for outputting the saved job, which has been saved in the storage means, in accordance with a predetermined operation.
A method of controlling an information processing apparatus that issues a job to an image processing apparatus, comprising:
- a generating step of generating a job that includes a save command for causing a job to be saved in an image processing apparatus at an output destination;
- a display step of displaying an interface for setting a restriction relating to processing that conforms to the save command of the job in said image processing apparatus;
- an appending step of appending details of the restriction, which has been set by the interface, to a saved job to be transmitted;
- and
- a transmitting step of transmitting the saved job, to which the details of the restriction have been appended at said appending step, to said image processing apparatus.
An information processing apparatus for issuing a job to an image processing apparatus, comprising:
- generating means for generating a job that includes a save command for causing a job to be saved in an image processing apparatus at an output destination;
- display means for displaying an interface for setting a restriction relating to processing that conforms to the save command of the job in said image processing apparatus;
- appending means for appending details of the restriction, which has been set by the interface, to a saved job to be transmitted;
- and
- transmitting means for transmitting the saved job, to which the details of the restriction have been appended at said appending means, to said image processing apparatus.
An image processing system comprising an information processing apparatus for issuing a job to be processed by an image processing apparatus, and an image processing apparatus for receiving and executing the job, wherein said image processing apparatus includes:
- generating means for analyzing a received job and generating a saved job that includes an image and output settings information;
- saving means for saving the saved job, which has been generated by said generating means, in storage means;
- output means for outputting the saved job, which has been saved in the storage means, in accordance with a predetermined operation;
- restriction setting means for acquiring a restriction on processing at time of output by said output means and incorporating restriction information, which is indicative of the restriction, in the output settings information saved by said saving means;
- and
- restricting means for restricting processing for outputting the saved job by said output means based upon the restriction information incorporated in the output settings information;
- at least one of said image processing apparatus and information processing apparatus having an interface for setting details of a restriction acquired by said output means.
An image processing system comprising an information processing apparatus for issuing a job to be processed by an image processing apparatus, and an image processing apparatus for receiving and executing the job, wherein said image processing apparatus includes:
- filtering means for changing details of print settings of a received job;
- control means for referring to information indicating whether execution of processing by said filtering means is permitted or prohibited and allowing said filtering means to act upon the job if the information indicates that execution is permitted;
- generating means for analyzing the job received by said receiving means or the job processed by said filtering means and generating a saved job that includes an image and output settings information;
- saving means for saving the saved job, which has been generated by said generating means, in storage means;
- and
- output means for outputting the saved job, which has been saved in the storage means, in accordance with a predetermined operation;
- at least one of said image processing apparatus and information processing apparatus having an interface for setting whether execution of the filtering processing is permitted or prohibited.
