Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for bonding a first part (31) made of a composite to a second part (34), to a defined dimension (A), wherein an insert (32) is fitted onto said first part (31), said insert (32) protruding beyond said dimension (A), the insert (32) is machined until its surface is at said defined dimension, said second part (34) is placed on the insert (32) and the second part is fastened via the insert. The use of an insert makes it possible to produce, with high precision, a reproducible assembly, which can still be dismantled.
Claims10
A method for bonding a first part (31) made of a ceramic matrix composite to a second part (34), to a defined dimension (A), wherein an insert (32) is fitted onto said first part (31), said insert (32) protruding beyond said dimension (A), the insert (32) is machined until its surface is at said defined dimension, said second part (34) is placed on the insert (32) and the second part is fastened via the insert.
The method as claimed in the preceding claim, wherein a housing (31′) is drilled out in the first part (31) in order to house the insert (32) therein.
The method as claimed in the preceding claim, the insert (32) of which has a cylindrical portion (32A) and a portion (32B) with a shoulder, the insert is placed via its cylindrical portion (32A) in the housing (31′) as far as its shoulder, and the insert is fastened by means of a washer (33) that is brazed to that face of the part (31) on the opposite side from the shoulder (32B).
The method as claimed in the preceding claim, the brazing temperature of which is above the operating temperature of the assembly (31, 34) so that the insert pinches on the first part (31).
The method as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein the portion (32B) of the insert with a shoulder and/or the cylindrical portion (32A) of the insert are machined.
The method as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein the second part (34) is fastened to the first part (31) by means (35) of a rivet, a welded stud or a bolt passing through the insert along the axis of the cylindrical portion (32A).
The method as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein a third part is assembled via the insert (32).
An insert for implementing the method as claimed in one of the preceding claims in which a first part (31) of defined thickness is bonded to a second part (34) to a defined dimension, wherein the cylindrical portion (32A) is of greater height than the thickness of the first part (31), the shoulder (32B) having a protrusion that can be machined off.
The insert as claimed in the preceding claim, which has a central bore (32C) passing through the cylindrical portion (32A) and the shoulder (32B).
