Abstract
A sensor unit for a rotating shaft, which unit uses its inner opening directly in contact with the outer surface of the rotating shaft in order to precisely and repeatedly radially align a sensor to such shaft.
Claims19
A sensor unit body for locating a sensor with respect to a rotating shaft of an associated device, the body including an axial opening and a radial opening, the axial opening extending through the body from a first end to a second end of the body and having a diameter that is substantially equal to a diameter of a rotating shaft of an associated device to which the body is configured to mount, the axial opening being configured to receive the rotating shaft of the associated device when the body mounts to the associated device such that at least a portion of the body contacts an outer surface of the rotating shaft.
A sensor unit body for locating a sensor with respect to a rotating shaft of an associated device wherein the rotating shaft has a shaft diameter, the body including a central opening that receives the rotating shaft such that the shaft extends from a first end and a second end of the body, the central opening having a first diameter that is substantially equal to the shaft diameter.
A plastic body configured to mount to a hydraulic motor, the plastic body including an axial opening extending entirely through the body, the opening being configured to receive an output shaft of the hydraulic motor.
