Abstract
A blood triglyceride depressant composition which comprises pravastatin and one or more members selected from the group consisting of (1) pantethine, (2) inositol hexanicotinate, (3) a combination drug containing a riboflavin compound, a tocopherol compound and an ascorbic acid compound, and (4) a combination drug containing a tocopherol compound and an ascorbic acid compound.

A method of lowering blood triglyceride levels, said method comprising administering, in combination, to a warm-blooded animal in need thereof, synergistically effective amounts for lowering said blood triglyceride levels, pravastatin and one or more agents selected from the group consisting of (1) pantethine, (2) inositol hexanicotinate, (3) a combination drug containing a riboflavin derivative, a tocopherol derivative and an ascorbic acid derivative, and (4) a combination drug containing a tocopherol derivative and an ascorbic acid derivative to form a synergistically effective mixture.
