Abstract
Foaming composition for topical application in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, where the size of the droplets of the oily phase D[4,3] is less than or equal to 4 μm, the oily phase is present in an amount of at least 30% by weight, the composition containing an emulsifying system with an HLB value ranging from 8 to 18, present in an amount of at least 2% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition, and a foaming system comprising at least one anionic surfactant chosen from alkyl glycol carboxylic acids of formula (I) and salts thereof.
Claims19
A foaming composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, comprising an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, wherein:
- the size of the droplets of the oily phase D[4,3] is less than or equal to 4 μm,
- the oily phase (A) is present in an amount of at least 30% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition,
- wherein the composition comprises:
- an emulsifying system (B) with an HLB value of 8-18, present in an amount of at least 2% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition,
- a foaming system (C) comprising at least one anionic surfactant chosen from alkyl glycol carboxylic acids of formula (I) and salts thereof:
- R1—CHOH—CH2—O—COO−X+ (I)
- in which R1 denotes a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched alkyl radical having 8 to 30 carbon atoms, and X denotes hydrogen or a mineral or organic cation, and
- wherein the oily phase (A)/foaming system (C) weight ratio is 1.5-12.
