Abstract
A system for controlling an event on a mobile communication device is provided. The system comprising at least one circuit for receiving a message communicated over a wireless communication network; and at least one circuit for converting the message to a command executable by a processor of a mobile communication device to trigger performance of a first event on the mobile communication device.

A method of controlling an event on a mobile communication device, the method comprising:
- receiving a text message communicated over a wireless communication network;
- and
- converting the text message to a command executable by a processor of a mobile communication device to trigger performance of a first event on the mobile communication device.
A method of controlling an event on a mobile communication device, the method comprising:
- receiving a message communicated over a wireless communication network;
- and
- converting the message to a command executable by a processor of a mobile communication device to trigger performance of a first event on the mobile communication device after expiration of a threshold period.
An apparatus for controlling an event on a mobile communication device, the apparatus comprising:
- means for receiving a user generated message communicated over a wireless communication network;
- and
- means for converting the message to a command executable by a processor of a mobile communication device to trigger performance of a first event on the mobile communication device.
