Abstract
A method for facilitating communication between a wireless client and a network is disclosed. The method comprises communicating information between the wireless client and the network prior to associating the wireless client to the network. The information can be related to setup features or services.

A method for facilitating communication between a wireless client and a network, the method comprising communicating information between the wireless client and the network prior to associating the wireless client to the network, the information being related to at least one item selected from the group consisting of:
- setup;
- and
- services.
A method for facilitating communication between a wireless client and a network, the method comprising communicating a beacon from an access point, the beacon comprising at least one item selected from the group consisting of:
- information regarding available setup features;
- and
- information regarding available services.
A method for facilitating communication between a wireless client and a network, the method comprising communicating a probe request from a wireless client to the network, the probe request requesting at least one item selected from the group consisting of:
- setup information;
- and
- available services.
An access point comprising a circuit for communicating a beacon/probe response, the circuit being configured so as to communicate a beacon/probe response comprising at least one item selected from the group consisting of:
- information regarding available setup features;
- and
- information regarding available services.
