Abstract
Disclosed is a digital broadcast receiving apparatus that synchronizes a video frame with an audio frame during the reception of a digital broadcast. The digital broadcast receiving apparatus includes a video decoder for receiving and decoding video frames according to a digital broadcast to output the decoded video frames, and a synchronization processing unit for dropping video frames at predetermined intervals if decoding of the video frames is delayed.

A digital broadcast receiving apparatus comprising:
- a video decoder for receiving and decoding video frames according to a digital broadcast to output the decoded video frames;
- and
- a synchronization processing unit for dropping video frames at predetermined intervals if decoding of the video frames is delayed.
A method for processing synchronization between audio frames and video frames in a digital broadcast receiving apparatus, the method comprising the steps of:
- receiving and decoding video frames according to a digital broadcast to output the decoded video frames;
- and
- dropping video frames at predetermined intervals if decoding of the video frames is delayed.
