Abstract
A system, method and medium for utilizing a parameter hierarchy having state information to generate a uniform resource locator (URL). In one embodiment of the present invention, a method includes the steps of creating a component hierarchy that includes at least one component object associated with a web page, and creating a parameter hierarchy that includes at least one parameter object that includes state information respectively associated with at least one of said component objects. Finally, the parameter hierarchy is utilized to generate a URL that can render the component hierarchy.
Claims21
A method for utilizing a parameter hierarchy having state information to generate a uniform resource locator (URL), comprising the steps of:
- a) creating a component hierarchy comprising at least one component object associated with a web page;
- b) creating a parameter hierarchy comprising at least one parameter object comprising state information respectively associated with at least one of said component objects;
- and
- c) utilizing the parameter hierarchy to generate a URL that can be utilized to render the component hierarchy.
A system for generating a uniform resource locator (URL) for a component-based user interface, comprising:
- an operating system;
- and
- at least one processor that uses at least one software module to:
- (a) create a component hierarchy comprising at least one component object associated with a web page;
- b) create a parameter hierarchy comprising at least one parameter object comprising state information respectively associated with at least one of said component objects;
- and c) utilize the state information to generate a URL that can be utilized to render the component hierarchy.
A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium, for generating a uniform resource locator (URL) for a component-based user interface, the computer program product comprising instructions for causing a computer to:
- a) create a component hierarchy comprising at least one component object associated with a web page;
- b) create a parameter hierarchy comprising at least one parameter object comprising state information respectively associated with at least one of said component objects;
- and
- c) utilize the state information to generate a URL that can be utilized to render the component hierarchy.
A method for utilizing a parameter hierarchy having state information to generate a uniform resource locator (URL), comprising the steps of:
- a) utilizing a component hierarchy comprising at least one component object associated with a web page;
- b) utilizing a parameter hierarchy comprising at least one parameter object comprising state information respectively associated with at least one of said component objects;
- and
- c) utilizing the parameter hierarchy to generate a URL that can be utilized to render the component hierarchy.
A system for generating a uniform resource locator (URL) for a component-based user interface, comprising:
- an operating system;
- and
- at least one processor that uses at least one software module to:
- (a) utilize a component hierarchy comprising at least one component object associated with a web page;
- b) utilize a parameter hierarchy comprising at least one parameter object comprising state information respectively associated with at least one of said component objects;
- and c) utilize the state information to generate a URL that can be utilized to render the component hierarchy.
A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium, for generating a uniform resource locator (URL) for a component-based user interface, the computer program product comprising instructions for causing a computer to:
- a) utilize a component hierarchy comprising at least one component object associated with a web page;
- b) utilize a parameter hierarchy comprising at least one parameter object comprising state information respectively associated with at least one of said component objects;
- and
- c) utilize the state information to generate a URL that can be utilized to render the component hierarchy.
