Method and system for keeping a library of titles updated

A system for keeping a library dynamically updated, the system comprising:

• a sever computing device configured to divide a release into a set of data chunks, wherein the release includes at least a title to update the library;
• a plurality of boxes, each configured to maintain the library including a number of titles, a substantial number of the titles in the library each having a portion of corresponding data distributed in more than one of the boxes, wherein the portion of corresponding data needs to be fetched when one of the titles is selected for playback, and
• wherein the server computing device is configured to designate an initial set of seeding boxes to receive the data chunks collectively, each of the seeding boxes receiving at least some of the data chunks, and
• each of the seeding boxes is caused to distribute at least some or all of the received data chunks to a set of the boxes, wherein each of the set of the boxes is caused to recursively distribute its received data chunks to other boxes chosen to continue distributing, if necessary, some or all of the received data chunks among the boxes till each of the boxes in service has received a designated portion of the data chunks.
