Abstract
The present invention relates to a micro-abrasion device comprising: a first reservoir intended to contain a powder to be sprayed onto a surface that is to be treated, a second reservoir intended to collect the used powder, a handpiece designed to be applied against the surface that is to be treated. This device comprises a removable cartridge (5) that can be fitted onto the device and removed independently of the handpiece and comprising the first and the second reservoirs.
Claims1
Micro-abrasion device comprising:
- a base station, the base station comprising a vacuum pump and a knob configured to adjust the pump;
- a handpiece configured to spray a powder onto skin;
- a flexible supply pipe configured to supply powder from the base station to the handpiece;
- a flexible return pipe configured to return powder from the handpiece to the base station, the supply pipe and the return pipe comprising a hose;
- and
- a removable cartridge configured to be fitted onto the base station and removed therefrom, the cartridge comprising:
- a first reservoir containing less than 50 cm3 of a powder to be supplied to the handpiece via said flexible supply pipe, the first reservoir comprising a unique endpiece closed by a puncturable seal that is overmolded on the unique endpiece of the first reservoir, the unique endpiece being a female endpiece, the first reservoir comprising a body made by molding a plastic and a closure cap welded or bonded to the body, a lower part of the first reservoir including an interior surface including at least at one point an inclination with respect to a longitudinal axis of the first reservoir, the inclination lying between 20° and 45°;
- and
- a second reservoir configured to collect powder returning from the handpiece via said flexible return pipe and to prevent the powder contained therein from being reused, the first and second reservoirs being assembled together by a support member;
- wherein the base station comprises:
- male endpieces configured to engage female endpieces of the second reservoir in a sealed manner;
- a housing that accommodates the first and second reservoirs, the handpiece and the hose;
- a hinged lid configured to close the housing with the handpiece and the hose entirely located therein;
- a male endpiece extending into the unique endpiece of the first reservoir, comprising an inlet orifice through which the powder is sucked out of from the first reservoir and into the supply pipe, and including an upper end that extends below a level of powder within the first reservoir, the inlet orifice including an axis that is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the male endpiece;
- and
- an air intake that extends below the inlet orifice of the make endpiece and admits air into the supply pipe, the air intake including a cross-sectional area lying between 0.2 and 2 mm2.
