Color filter and manufacturing method therefor

A method of manufacturing a display device having a color filter, wherein said color filter is formed by a technique comprising:

• a step of demarcating and forming a metal film on a substrate;
• a step of forming banks on the substrate by forming a plurality of photosensitive organic thin film layers on the metal film;
• a step of applying inks to each area enclosed by said banks;
• a step of forming ink layers by drying said inks at a temperature of from 150° C. to 300° C.;
• and
• a step of forming a protective film that covers said banks and said ink layers.

A method of manufacturing an electronic device having a display device that has a color filter, wherein said color filter is formed by a technique comprising:

• a step of demarcating and forming a metal film on a substrate;
• a step of forming banks on the substrate by forming a plurality of photosensitive organic thin film layers on the metal film;
• a step of applying inks to each area enclosed by said banks;
• a step of forming ink layers by drying said inks at a temperature of from 150° C. to 300° C.;
• and
• a step of forming a protective film that covers said banks and said ink layers.
