Abstract
An electromagnetic reciprocating fluid apparatus includes a magnetic circuit device in which magnetic pole members project inward from an annular magnetic circuit member so as to oppose each other. The magnetic pole members and the annular magnetic circuit member have a uniform thickness. First and second additional annular magnetic circuit members are set on both sides of the annular magnetic circuit member to constitute a part of the magnetic circuit device, thereby minimizing the increase in magnetic reluctance due to magnetic flux concentration at the joints between the magnetic pole members and the annular magnetic circuit member.
Claims4
An electromagnetic reciprocating fluid apparatus comprising:
- a piston having a piston rod and a magnetic armature secured to said piston rod, said piston being reciprocatable along a longitudinal axis of said piston rod;
- and
- a magnetic circuit device having a pair of magnetic pole members spaced apart from each other in a direction normal to said axis and disposed on opposite sides of said axis, said magnetic circuit device being intermittently excited to induce magnetic force between said magnetic pole members, thereby magnetically attracting said magnetic armature to drive said piston in the direction of said axis;
- wherein said magnetic circuit device further comprises:
- an annular magnetic circuit member, wherein said magnetic pole members are integrally formed with said annular magnetic circuit member so that the magnetic pole members project from mutually opposing portions of an inner peripheral surface of said annular magnetic circuit member, said magnetic pole members and annular magnetic circuit member having a uniform thickness in the direction of said axis;
- and
- a first additional annular magnetic circuit member superimposed on one of opposite sides of said annular magnetic circuit member.
