Abstract
A system and method for discovering real-time communication protocol enabled devices comprising discovering at least one real-time communication server, logging onto the at least one real-time communication server, retrieving real-time communication protocol enabled device information from the real-time communication server, and automatically adding the retrieved real-time communication protocol enabled device information to a real-time communication protocol contact collection.

A method for discovering real-time communication protocol enabled devices, comprising:
- discovering at least one real-time communication server;
- logging onto the at least one real-time communication server;
- retrieving real-time communication protocol enabled device information from the real-time communication server;
- and
- automatically adding the retrieved real-time communication protocol enabled device information to a real-time communication protocol contact collection.
A system for discovering real-time communication protocol enabled devices, comprising:
- means for discovering at least one real-time communication server;
- means for logging on to the at least one real-time communication server;
- means for retrieving real-time communication enabled device information from the real-time communication server;
- and
- means for automatically adding the retrieved real-time communication enabled device information to a real-time communication protocol contact collection.
A method for populating a buddy list corresponding to a real-time communication protocol contact collection, comprising:
- adding a real-time communication protocol contact name to the buddy list;
- and
- assigning a use restriction to the real-time communication protocol contact name
