Abstract
A liquid crystal lens comprises a first liquid crystal lens part. The first liquid crystal part comprises first and second flat parallel substrates and a liquid crystal filled between said first and second light-transmitting regions. First and second electrodes are provided on said first and second substrates, respectively, to apply a voltage across the first liquid crystal. An electric heating element is provided on said first substrate to heat said first liquid crystal.

A liquid crystal lens comprising a first liquid crystal lens part which comprises:
- a first substrate having a first light-transmitting region;
- a second substrate having a second light-transmitting region opposed to the first light-transmitting region;
- a first liquid crystal filled between said first and second light-transmitting regions;
- first and second electrodes provided on said first and second substrates, respectively, to apply a voltage across the first liquid crystal between said first and second substrates;
- and
- an electric heating element provided on said first substrate to heat said first liquid crystal.
