Abstract
An imager comprises an image sensor and a controller coupled to the image sensor. The image sensor is configured to obtain an image of a field of view of the image sensor with a configuration pattern placed in the field of view. The controller is configured to determine a location of the configuration pattern within the image, interpret the configuration pattern, and set a parameter of the imager based on the interpretation of the configuration pattern.
Claims20
An imager comprising:
- an image sensor configured to obtain an image of a field of view of the image sensor with a configuration pattern placed in the field of view;
- and
- a controller coupled to the image sensor, the controller configured to determine a location of the configuration pattern within the image, interpret the configuration pattern, and set a parameter of the imager based on the interpretation of the configuration pattern.
A sensor network comprising:
- a plurality of wireless imagers;
- and
- a base station communicatively coupled to the plurality of wireless imagers,
- wherein each of the plurality of wireless imagers is configured to locally obtain an image of a field of view of the wireless imager with a configuration pattern in the field of view and to locally set a parameter of the wireless imager based on an interpretation of the configuration pattern.
A method for configuring a wireless imager, the method comprising:
- placing a configuration pattern in a field of view of a wireless imager;
- obtaining an image of the field of view of the wireless imager;
- locating the configuration pattern in the obtained image;
- identifying the configuration pattern;
- interpreting the configuration pattern;
- and
- performing a function based on the interpretation.
A method for setting a region of interest for an imager, the method comprising:
- placing a region of interest configuration pattern at a first location in a field of view of an imager;
- obtaining a first image of the field of view of the imager;
- locating the region of interest configuration pattern in the first image at the first location;
- setting a region of interest of the imager to include the first location;
- moving the region of interest configuration pattern to a second location in the field of view of the imager;
- obtaining a second image of the field of view of the imager;
- locating the region of interest configuration pattern in the second image at the second location;
- and
- setting the region of interest of the imager to include the first location and the second location.
