Screen apparatus and method

A system for filtering debris from a fluid withing a work string comprising:

• a latch member having at a first end a plurality of protuberances;
• a first tubular member disposed within said latch member, said first tubular member containing, on an outer portion, a groove with a shoulder, and wherein said protuberances engages said shoulder;
• an internal retrieving profile disposed within an inner portion of said first tubular member;
• a screen extending from said first tubular member;
• a diverter device operatively attached to said inner portion of said first tubular member, and wherein said diverter device contains a passage to divert the fluid to an outer portion of said screen;
• a second tubular member, and wherein said first tubular member is concentrically disposed within said second tubular member;
• a third tubular member attached to said diverter device and concentrically disposed within said second tubular member, wherein an annulus is created between said third tubular member and said screen so that the debris collects within said annulus when the fluid flows through said passage into the annulus and through said screen.

A screen apparatus for use in a well bore containing a fluid having debris, the apparatus comprising:

• a latching means;
• a first tubular member disposed within said latching means, said first tubular member having an internal retrieving profile;
• a screen extending from said first tubular member, and wherein the screen contains a first portion with a first outer diameter, that extends to a second portion having a second outer diameter, and wherein the first outer diameter is larger that than the second outer diameter;
• a diverter device operatively attached to an inner portion of said first tubular member, and wherein said diverter device contains a passage to divert the fluid to an outer portion of said screen, wherein said screen filters the debris from the fluid.

A method of cleaning debris from a fluid within a well bore comprising:

• providing a screen apparatus, said screen apparatus comprising:
• a latch member having at a first end a plurality of protuberances;
• a first tubular disposed within said latch member, said first tubular containing a groove with a shoulder, and wherein said protuberances engages said shoulder;
• an internal retrieving profile disposed within an inner portion of said first tubular;
• a screen extending from said first tubular;
• a diverter device operatively attached to said inner portion of said first tubular, and wherein said diverter device contains a passage to divert the fluid to an outer portion of said screen;
• a second tubular, and wherein said first tubular is concentrically disposed within said second tubular;
• a third tubular attached to said diverter device and concentrically disposed within said second tubular so that an annulus is created between said screen and said third tubular;
• flowing the fluid through passage of the diverter device;
• flowing the fluid into the annulus;
• flowing the fluid through the screen;
• collecting the debris within the annulus;
• terminating the flow of the fluid;
• running into the well bore with a pulling tool on a wire line;
• engaging a set of dogs on the pulling tool within the internal retrieving profile;
• expanding the dogs so that the latch member disengages the first tubular;
• pulling out of the well bore with the first tubular, the third tubular and the screen.
