Abstract
An optical information recording medium with excellent surface flatness and little inter-mark interference during recording, as well as a method for manufacturing this medium are provided. An optical information recording medium 10 capable of reproducing information using laser light having a reflective layer 2 and a recording layer 5, in that order, on a substrate 1, and the reflective layer 2 being an alloy containing aluminum and nickel.
Claims10
1-13. (canceled)
An optical information recording medium capable of reproducing information using laser light:
- having at least a reflective layer and a recording layer, in that order, on a substrate;
- and
- the reflective layer being an aluminum alloy containing at least 1 atom percent and no more than 5 atom percent nickel.
A method for manufacturing an optical information recording medium, including producing at least a reflective layer and a recording layer, in that order, on a substrate,
- wherein the step of producing a film of the reflective layer involves the use of a sputtering target composed of an aluminum alloy containing at least 1 atom percent and no more than 5 atom percent nickel.
