Abstract
A method, system and article of manufacture provide a replication-only trigger in a database management system. The database management system has a source server and a target server. At least one replication-only trigger which is associated with a replication operation is registered. The replication-only trigger is associated with a stored procedure. The stored procedure is invoked in response to an occurrence of the replication operation in replicating data from the source server to the target server.
Claims30
A method of providing a trigger in a database management system having a source server and a target server, comprising:
- registering at least one replication-only trigger which is associated with a replication operation, said replication-only trigger being associated with a stored procedure;
- and
- invoking said stored procedure in response to an occurrence of said replication operation in replicating data from said source server to said target server.
An article of manufacture comprising a computer usable medium embodying one or more instructions executable by a computer for performing a method of providing a trigger in a database management system having a source server and a target server, said method comprising:
- registering at least one replication-only trigger which is associated with a replication operation, said replication-only trigger being associated with a stored procedure;
- and
- invoking said stored procedure in response to an occurrence of said replication operation in replicating data from said source server to said target server.
A computer system providing a trigger in a database management system having a source server and a target server comprising:
- at least one replication-only trigger which is associated with a replication operation;
- and
- a stored procedure, associated with said replication-only trigger, which is invoked in response to an occurrence of said replication operation in replicating data from said source server to said target server.
