Abstract
The present invention provides a clipping device having a coil sheath inserted into an insertion tube in a back/forth movable way to allow it to be inserted into a body cavity, an operation wire inserted into the coil sheath in a back/forth movable way, and a clip directly connected to a distal end of the operation wire to allow it to clip a living tissue.

A clipping device comprising:
- an insertion tube, which has an insertion tube distal end, and an insertion tube proximal end having an enlarged portion, and which is configured to be inserted in a cavity of a living body;
- a sheath, which has a sheath distal end and a sheath proximal end, and is inserted in the insertion tube so as to be movable in an axial direction of the insertion tube;
- an operation section, which has an operation section distal end and an operation section proximal end, the operation section distal end being connected to the sheath proximal end, and movement of the operation section causing the sheath to move relative to the insertion tube;
- an operation wire, which has a wire distal end and a wire proximal end, and is inserted in the sheath so as to be movable in an axial direction of the sheath;
- a moving mechanism, which is movably mounted on the operation section and fixed to the wire proximal end, and causes the operation wire to move relative to the operation section and the sheath within a predetermined range in accordance with movement on the operation section;
- a clip unit removably attached to the wire distal end and having a clip in an open state, the clip being to be closed as it moves in a direction in which the operation wire is retracted into the sheath by the movement of the moving mechanism;
- and
- a spacer detachably mounted between the operation section distal end and the enlarged portion of the insertion tube proximal end, the spacer being to be brought into contact with the operation section distal end and the enlarged portion when mounted on the insertion tube, thereby restricting relative movement of the operation section in a direction of approach to the insertion tube, and preventing a tip of the clip unit from projecting out of the insertion tube distal end.

A treatment apparatus comprising:
- an insertion tube, which has an insertion tube distal end, and an insertion tube proximal end having an enlarged portion, and which is configured to be inserted in a cavity of a living body;
- a sheath, which has a sheath distal end and a sheath proximal end, and is inserted in the insertion tube so as to be movable in an axial direction of the insertion tube;
- an operation section, which has an operation section distal end and an operation section proximal end, the operation section distal end being connected to the sheath proximal end, and movement of the operation section causing the sheath to move relative to the insertion tube;
- a treatment member mounted on the sheath distal end and having a treating function for treating a tissue of the living body in accordance with an operation of the operation section;
- and
- a spacer detachably mounted between the operation section distal end and the enlarged portion of the insertion tube proximal end, the spacer being brought into contact with the operation section distal end and the enlarged portion when mounted on the insertion tube, thereby restricting relative movement of the operation section in a direction of approach to the insertion tube, and preventing a tip of the treatment member from projecting out of the insertion tube distal end.
