A method for preventing, treating or inhibiting development of simple retinopathy or preproliferative retinopathy in a mammal in need thereof, which comprises administering an effective amount of a compound having angiotensin II antagonistic activity, or a prodrug thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to the mammal.
A method for improving retinal potency or retinal edema in a mammal in need thereof, which comprises administering an effective amount of a compound having angiotensin II antagonistic activity, or a prodrug thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to the mammal.
