Electrophotographic image forming apparatus, cartridge and process cartridge

A cartridge detachable mountable to an apparatus main body of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording medium, said apparatus main body having a main body electrical contact member having a main body electrical contact movable relative to said apparatus main body, and an electrical contact cover member having an exposed portion for exposing said main body electrical contact, and covering said main body electrical contact member, and attached to said main body electrical contact member so that said exposed portion is movable relative to said main body electrical contact member, said cartridge comprising:

• an electric power supplied member;
• a cartridge electrical contact electrically connected to said electric power supplied member, and electrically connected to said main body electrical contact to receive a voltage to be supplied to said electric power supplied member when said cartridge is mounted on said apparatus main body;
• and
• an abutting portion for abutting against a receiving portion of said electrical contact cover member when said cartridge is mounted on said apparatus main body, to thereby move said electrical contact cover member,
• wherein said abutting portion abuts against said receiving portion to thereby move said electrical contact cover member relative to said main body electrical contact member so that said cartridge electrical contact and said main body electrical contact are electrically connected together in said exposed portion when said cartridge is mounted on said apparatus main body.
