A method for increasing signal to noise ratio, comprising:
- setting an exposure time;
- scanning a target chart in accordance with the exposure time;
- generating digital output data in accordance with the scanning a target chart;
- and
- increasing the exposure time if the output data generated by the scan is less than a maximum value.
An article comprising:
- a storage medium having stored thereon instructions, that, if executed, result in:
- setting an exposure time;
- scanning a target chart in accordance with said exposure time;
- generating digital output data in accordance with the scanning a target chart;
- and
- increasing the exposure time if the output data generated by the scan is less than a maximum value.
A scanning apparatus, comprising:
- means for setting an exposure time;
- means for scanning a target chart in accordance with said exposure time;
- means for generating digital output data in accordance with the scanning a target chart;
- and
- means for increasing the exposure time if the output data generated by the scan is less than a maximum value.
A method for increasing signal to noise ratio, comprising:
- setting an illumination value;
- scanning a target chart in accordance with said illumination value;
- generating digital output data in accordance with the scanning a target chart;
- and
- increasing the illumination value if the output data generated by the scan is less than a maximum value.
An article comprising:
- a storage medium having stored thereon instructions, that, if executed, result in:
- setting an illumination value;
- scanning a target chart in accordance with the illumination value;
- generating digital output data in accordance with the scanning a target chart;
- and
- increasing the illumination value if the output data generated by the scan is less than a maximum value.
A scanning apparatus, comprising:
- means for setting an illumination value;
- means for scanning a target chart in accordance with the illumination value;
- means for generating digital output data in accordance with the scanning a target chart;
- and
- means for increasing the illumination value if the output data generated by the scan is less than a maximum value.
The apparatus of claim 48, further comprising:
- means for rescanning the target chart in accordance with the decreased illumination value;
- means for generating additional digital output data in accordance with the rescanning the target chart;
- and
- means for further decreasing the illumination value if the output data generated by the rescan is greater than the maximum value.
