Abstract
An image projection module within a housing is operative for causing selected pixels in a raster pattern to be illuminated to produce an image at different image planes of VGA quality. A movable component on the housing causes the image to be formed at a selected image plane.
Claims15
An arrangement for projecting an image, comprising:
- a) a housing having a window;
- b) an image projection module in the housing for sweeping a pattern of scan lines through the window, each scan line having a number of pixels, and for causing selected pixels to be illuminated, and rendered visible, to produce the image;
- and
- c) a movable component mounted on the housing for movement between different positions in which the image is projected onto different imaging planes.

A method of projecting an image, comprising the steps of:
- a) sweeping a pattern of scan lines through a window of a housing, each scan line having a number of pixels, and causing selected pixels to be illuminated, and rendered visible, to produce the image;
- and
- b) mounting a component on the housing and moving the component between different positions in which the image is projected onto different imaging planes.
