Abstract
Systems and methods are disclosed for parallel testing one or more wireless devices using a single wireless command, each device including a processor and memory coupled to the processor. The system includes a tester adapted to exercise the wireless devices, including: a transceiver adapted to communicate with each wireless device; and a computer coupled to the transceiver, the computer adapted to test all wireless devices in parallel by issuing a single test command using a wireless signal, the computer adapted to store test patterns and test results.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- wirelessly receiving a test command at a plurality of wireless devices formed on a wafer via radio frequency circuitry of each of the plurality of wireless devices operable in a test mode and normal operation;
- and
- testing the plurality of wireless devices responsive to the test command.
A system comprising:
- a test unit to issue a test command for transmission to at least one wireless device formed on a wafer, the test command to cause wafer level testing of the at least one of wireless device via receipt of the test command by radio frequency circuitry of the at least one of wireless device operable in a test mode and normal operation of the wireless device;
- and
- a transceiver coupled to the test unit to transmit the test command for wireless receipt by the at least one wireless device.
An integrated circuit (IC) comprising:
- a wireless device having an analog portion including at least one radio frequency core, and a digital portion including a processor coupled to the at least one radio frequency core to handle a plurality of wireless communication protocols, the wireless device operable in a test mode while part of a wafer including a plurality of wireless devices and in normal operation when packaged in the integrated circuit, wherein the wireless device passed a wireless test process when part of the wafer.
A computer-readable medium including instructions that when executed cause a system to:
- wirelessly transmit a test command to a plurality of wireless devices formed on a wafer from a transceiver of the system to radio frequency circuitry of each of the plurality of wireless devices operable in a test mode and normal operation;
- and
- wirelessly receive test results from at least some of the plurality of wireless devices tested in response to the test command.
