Abstract
A crystalline made of a combination of ceramics and phosphors and is incepted with structural defects such that when the crystalline surrounds a nuclear core that produces radioactive radiation and the ceramic material within the crystalline is able to shield the radioactive radiation while the radioactive radiation excites the phosphors forcing them to emit photons. The materials used to create the crystalline are varied to manipulate the wavelength of the photons produced by the crystalline to produce different colors of visible light.
Claims17
