Abstract
A double mass flywheel has an inertia member, a flexible plate, a second flywheel, an elastic member, and a friction generation mechanism. The flexible plate is deformable in a bending direction and connects the inertia member to a crankshaft. The second flywheel is formed with a clutch friction surface. The elastic member elastically connects the second flywheel to the crankshaft in the rotational direction. The friction generation mechanism is located functionally in parallel with the elastic member in the rotational direction. The friction generation mechanism is held by the flexible plate.
Claims20
A double mass flywheel configured to receive torque from a crankshaft of an engine, comprising:
- a first flywheel being fixed to the crankshaft;
- a second flywheel being formed with a clutch friction surface;
- an elastic member being configured to connect elastically and directly said second flywheel to the crankshaft in a rotational direction;
- and
- a friction generation mechanism being arranged to operate functionally in parallel with said elastic member in said rotational direction, said friction generation mechanism being held by said first flywheel.
The double mass flywheel configured to receive torque from a crankshaft of an engine, comprising:
- an inertia member;
- a flexible plate being deformable in a bending direction parallel to an axis of rotation of the crankshaft, said flexible plate connecting said inertia member to the crankshaft;
- a second flywheel being formed with a clutch friction surface;
- an elastic member being configured to connect elastically said second flywheel to the crankshaft in a rotational direction;
- and
- a friction generation mechanism being arranged to operate functionally in parallel with said elastic member in said rotational direction, said friction generation mechanism being held by said flexible plate.
