Two-component coating system for equipping smooth surfaces with easy-to-clean properties

A two-component system for equipping surfaces with an oil, water, and dirt repellent coating, the two-component system comprising

• a formulation 1
• comprising a carbosilane selected from the group consisting of at least one fluoroalkylsilane of formula (I)
• R1—Yu—(CH2)2Si(CH3)q(R2)3-q (I)
• wherein R1 is a mono, oligo, or perfluorinated linear, branched, or cycloalkyl group comprising 1-13 carbon atoms or R1 is a mono, oligo, or perfluorinated aryl group,
• wherein Y is a —(CH2), O or S group, wherein u is 0 or 1, wherein R2 is a chlorine atom or an alkoxy group comprising 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and wherein q is 0 or 1,
• at least one alkylsilane of formula (II)
• R3Si(CH3)p(R4)3-p (II),
• wherein R3 is a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group comprising 1 to 18 carbon atoms, wherein R4 is a chlorine atom or an alkoxy group comprising 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and wherein p is 0 or 1,
• or a combination thereof, and
• a formulation 2
• wherein the formulation 2 comprises water, an organic or inorganic acid, and at least one solvent or diluent, and
• wherein both formulations are mixed together shortly before application.
