Methods for forming a preformed flower pot cover having a finish simulating the appearance of cloth

A decorative preformed flower pot cover having a texture or appearance simulating the texture or appearance of cloth disposed on or visible through at least a portion thereof, the decorative preformed flower pot cover comprising:

• a preformed base initially formed in an open condition and having a lower end, an open upper end, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface and a retaining space, wherein the decorative preformed flower pot cover is formed from a polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface wherein at least a portion of at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the polymeric material is modified to provide at least a portion of at least one surface of the decorative preformed flower pot cover with a texture or appearance simulating the texture or appearance of cloth.

A decorative preformed flower pot cover having a texture or appearance simulating the texture or appearance of cloth disposed on or visible through at least a portion thereof, the decorative preformed flower pot cover comprising:

• a preformed shape-sustaining base having a lower end, an open upper end, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface and a retaining space, wherein the decorative preformed flower pot cover is formed from a polymeric material having an upper surface and a lower surface wherein at least a portion of at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the polymeric material is modified to provide at least a portion of at least one surface of the decorative preformed flower pot cover with a texture or appearance simulating the texture or appearance of cloth;
• and
• wherein when a flower pot containing a floral grouping is disposed in the decorative preformed flower pot cover, the upper end of the preformed shape-sustaining base is positioned substantially below an upper end of a bloom portion of the floral grouping disposed in the flower pot.
