Abstract
A watering and transport device for plants, with a rectangular base platform, at each of the four corner regions of which is disposed, perpendicularly thereto, a support socket, in each of which is received, in a vertical position, a frame strut which is C or U-shaped in cross-section, with a substantially continuous longitudinal slot and with a number of insertion recesses adjacent to and/or opposite the longitudinal slot, wherein at least one ridge bridging the longitudinal slot is disposed on each frame strut.
Claims23
A watering and transport device for plants, comprising:
- a rectangular base platform, having four corner regions in which at each is disposed, perpendicularly thereto, a support socket;
- each support socket receives, in a vertical position, a frame strut which is C or U-shaped in cross-section, the frame strut having a substantially continuous longitudinal slot;
- and a number of insertion recesses adjacent to and/or opposite the longitudinal slot;
- wherein at least one ridge bridging the longitudinal slot is disposed on each frame strut.
A frame strut for a watering and transport device for plants, the device having a rectangular base platform with four corner regions in which at each is disposed, perpendicularly thereto, a support socket comprising:
- a frame strut which can be inserted in the support socket of the base platform of the device and which is C or U-shaped in cross-section and has a substantially continuous longitudinal slot and a number of insertion recesses adjacent to and/or opposite the longitudinal slot,
- wherein at least one ridge bridging the longitudinal slot is disposed on each frame strut.
A method for arranging a watering and transport device for plants in a transport or storage position, which saves time and space, the device having a rectangular base platform, with four corner regions of which at each is disposed, perpendicularly thereto, a support socket, in each of which is received, in a vertical position, a frame strut provided with a substantially continuous longitudinal slot and a number of insertion recesses adjacent to and/or opposite the longitudinal slot, at least one ridge bridging the longitudinal slot being disposed on each frame strut, wherein the frame struts can be received, in a transport position, in which the longitudinal slots of two frame struts associated with a first side of the base platform face each other and their insertion recesses face away from one another, and the longitudinal slots of two frame struts associated with a second side opposite the first side face each other and their insertion recesses face away from one another, or in a storage position, in which the insertion recesses of the frame struts associated with the first side of the base platform face each other and their longitudinal slots face away from one another, and the insertion recesses of the frame struts associated with the second side face each other and their longitudinal slots face away from one another, wherein rectangular storage platforms, which have one mounting member in each of four corner regions, each of which has an insertion end portion that ends freely, can be inserted with the insertion end portions in the storage position of the frame struts into insertion recesses located at the same height or, in the transport position of the frame struts, can be received in the longitudinal slots, the method comprising the steps of:
- placing a watering and transport device in the storage position;
- removing the storage platform(s) from the device;
- replacing the frame struts in the transport position, and stacking a number of storage platforms one on top of the other on the base platform, the insertion end portions of the storage platforms projecting into the longitudinal slots of the frame struts;
- wherein after the transport position has been created, at least one storage platform is placed on webs (70).
