Provided, among other things, is a device for aligning a motor vehicle in a parking space comprising a light projector for mounting above an the parking space comprising one or more light sources for projecting one or more lines extending from the parking space to outside the parking space, with the lines parallel to the intended vehicle alignment for approaching the parking space.

A device for aligning a motor vehicle in a parking space comprising a light projector for mounting above an the parking space comprising one or more light sources for projecting one or more lines extending from the parking space to outside the parking space, with the lines parallel to the intended vehicle alignment for approaching the parking space.
A method of aligning a motor vehicle in a parking space comprising:
- electrically activating one or more light sources for projecting onto ground light defining one or more parallel lines extending from the parking space to outside the parking space, with the lines parallel to the intended vehicle alignment for approaching the parking space;
- and
- operating the vehicle to align with the lines and move into the parking space.
