Image edit device

An image edit device comprising:

• an image input unit for imputing a plurality of image data;
• a standard pattern storage unit for preliminary storing a plurality of standard patterns used for laying out the plurality of image data;
• a selection unit for selecting at least a standard pattern among the plurality of standard patterns stored in the standard pattern storage unit, in accordance with a predetermined criterion;
• an automatic layout unit for automatically laying out the plurality of image data using the standard pattern or patterns selected by the selection unit;
• an intention input unit for inputting an intention of a change of a layout result provided by the automatic layout unit, in response to an external operation;
• a re-selection unit for again selecting automatically at least another standard pattern among the plurality of standard patterns stored in the standard pattern storage unit, on the basis of the intention of the change in a case that the intention input unit inputs the intention of the change;
• and
• a re-layout unit for again laying out the plurality of image data using the another standard pattern or patterns selected by the re-selection unit so as to reflect the intention of the change inputted by the intention input unit.

An image edit method comprising the steps of:

• inputting step of imputing a plurality of image data;
• selecting step of selecting at least a standard pattern among a plurality of standard patterns which are preliminary stored within a storage unit, so as to use for laying out the plurality of image data;
• laying out step of automatically laying out the plurality of image data using the standard pattern or patterns selected at the selecting step;
• intention-inputting step of inputting an intention of a change of a layout result provided though the laying out step, in response to an external operation;
• re-selecting step of again selecting automatically at least another standard pattern among the plurality of standard patterns stored in the standard pattern storage unit, on the basis of the intention of the change in a case that the intention of the change is inputted at the intention-input step;
• and
• re-laying out step of again laying out the plurality of image data using the another standard pattern or patterns selected at the re-selecting step so as to reflect the intention of the change inputted at the intention-inputting step.
