Device for detecting positions of object

A device detecting a motional position of an object in motion, comprising:

• means for repeatedly producing positional information indicative of the motional position of the object in response to a change in the motional position of the object, the change reflecting therein a motion of the object and the positional information being pulsed information;
• means for repeatedly transmitting, through a communication line, the produced positional information every time when the change in the motional position of the object reaches a given unit quantity of the change;
• means for repeatedly receiving, through the communication line, the positional information transmitted from the transmitting means;
• and
• means for reportedly calculating the motional position of the object based on a predetermined procedure including repeatedly counting a starting edge of the positional information to be received.

A method of detecting a motional position of an object in motion, comprising steps of:

• producing positional information indicative of the motional position of the object in response to a change in the motional position of the object, the change reflecting therein a motion of the object and the positional information being pulsed information;
• transmitting, through a communication line, the produced positional information every time when the change in the motional position of the object reaches a given unit quantity of the change;
• receiving the positional information transmitted through the communication line;
• and
• calculating the motional position of the object based on a predetermined procedure including repeatedly counting a starting edge of the positional information to be received.
