Abstract
The present invention provides a resin plasticizer comprising a compound represented by Formula (1): R1—(O—R2—CO)k—O[(CHR3)p(CHR4)q—O]r[(CHR5)p′(CHR6)q′—O]r′—R7 wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a C2-20 acyl group; R2 is a hydroxycarboxylic acid residue; each R3, R4, R5 and R6 is independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R7 is a C1-8 alkyl or C2-20 acyl group; k is an integer from 1 to 60; each p, p′, q and q′ is an integer from 0 to 6, provided that 1≦p+q≦6 and 1≦p′+q′≦6; and each r and r′ is an integer from 0 to 7, provided that 1≦r+r′≦7; a resin composition comprising the plasticizer; and a molded article formed from the resin composition.

A resin plasticizer comprising a compound represented by Formula (1):
- R1—(O—R2—CO)k—O[(CHR3)p(CHR4)q—O]r[(CHR5)p′(CHR6)q′—O]r′—R7
- wherein R′ is a hydrogen atom or C2-20 acyl group;
- R2 is a hydroxycarboxylic acid residue;
- each R3, R4, R5 and R6 is independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group;
- R7 is a C1-8 alkyl or C2-20 acyl group;
- k is an integer from 1 to 60;
- each p, p′, q and q′ is an integer from 0 to 6, provided that 1≦p+q≦6 and 1≦p′+q′≦6;
- and each r and r′ is an integer from 0 to 7, provided that 1≦r+r′≦7.
A resin plasticizer comprising a reaction product obtained by reacting (a) a hydroxycarboxylic acid with (b) a compound represented by Formula (2):
- HO—[(CHR3)p(CHR4)qO]r[(CHR5)p′(CHR6)q′—O]r′—R7
- wherein each R3, R4, R5 and R6 is independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group;
- R7 is a C1-8 alkyl or C2-20 acyl group;
- each p, p′, q and q′ is an integer from 0 to 6, provided that 1≦p+q≦6 and 1≦p′+q′≦6;
- and each r and r′ is an integer from 0 to 7, provided that 1≦r+r′≦7;
- and optionally reacting the product of the reaction between (a) and (b) with (c) a C2-20 carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof.
A resin plasticizer comprising a reaction product obtained by reacting (a) a hydroxycarboxylic acid with (c) a C2-20 carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof;
- and then reacting the product of the reaction between (a) and (c) with (b) a compound represented by Formula (2):
- HO—[(CHR3)p(CHR4)qO]r[(CHR5)p′(CHR6)q′—O]r′—R7
- wherein each R3, R4, R5 and R6 is independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group;
- R7 is a C1-8 alkyl or C2-20 acyl group;
- each p, p′, q and q′ is an integer from 0 to 6, provided that 1≦p+q≦6 and 1≦p′+q′≦6;
- and each r and r′ is an integer from 0 to 7, provided that 1≦r+r′≦7.
