Abstract
Methods for treating glucocorticoid associated states using selective 11β-HSD1-dehydrogenase, 11β-HSD1-reductase and 11β-HSD2 dehydrogenase modulating compounds are described.
Claims12
A method for treating apparent adrenal insufficiency in a subject, comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of an 11β-HDSD1 dehydrogenase inhibitor or a 11β-HSD2 dehydrogenase inhibitor, such that said subject is treated for said apparent adrenal insufficiency.
A method for increasing the half-life of glucocorticoid drugs in a subject, comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of a 11β-HSD2 dehydrogenase inhibitor in combination with said glucocorticoid drug, such that the half life of said glucocorticoid drug in said subject is increased.
