Abstract
The present invention relates to a network-based method and system to control and enable seamless roaming across various cellular network types. The system provides dynamic mapping, processing and conversion of messages to enable seamless communication across various cellular network types. Use of roaming enabled services in non-Roaming Enabled Networks is achieved by integrating this system with the non-Roaming Enabled Network.

A method for enabling roaming between wireless networks, the method comprising:
- receiving a message;
- selecting the source and destination network types for the received message based on information available in the message or a database;
- translating the received message from a source network type message to a destination network type message;
- and
- transmitting the translated message.
An apparatus for enabling roaming between wireless networks, the apparatus comprising:
- receiving means for receiving a message;
- selecting means for selecting the source and destination network types based on information available in the message or a database;
- translating means for translating the received message from a source network type message to a destination network type message;
- and
- transmitting means for transmitting the translated message.
A method for enabling roaming between wireless networks, the method comprising:
- receiving a message;
- identifing at least one of source and destination network types for the received message based on information available in the message or a database;
- creating a message using the destination network protocol;
- loading the created message with required data or information;
- and
- transmitting the translated message.
