Abstract
A system and method for injecting faults are described. Faults may be injected into a process to determine if a given module handles the fault properly.

A process for establishing when faults are to be injected into a running function comprising the steps of:
- specifying a fault to occur;
- determining a function to fault;
- assigning a start location in said function where said fault is to start;
- and
- assigning a stop location in said function where said fault is to stop.
A system for establishing when faults are to be injected into a running function comprising:
- means for specifying a fault to occur;
- means for determining a function to fault;
- means for assigning a start location in said function where said fault is to start;
- and
- means for assigning a stop location in said function where said fault is to stop.
A computer-readable medium having a program stored thereon, said program for establishing when faults are to be injected into a running function, said program comprising the steps of:
