Abstract
A computer-readable medium includes a report generator configured to process a current version of a data set to generate a report including a data item. The computer-readable medium also includes a report data change tracker configured to identify a change in the data item with respect to a previous version of the data set. The computer-readable medium further includes a report data change presenter configured to superimpose an indication of the change onto the report.

A computer-readable medium comprising:
- a report generator configured to process a current version of a data set to produce a report including a data item;
- a report data change tracker configured to identify a change in said data item with respect to a previous version of said data set;
- and
- a report data change presenter configured to superimpose an indication of said change onto said report.
A computer-readable medium comprising executable instructions to:
- retrieve a plurality of versions of a data set from a data source in accordance with successive refreshes of a query associated with a report;
- assign a different version identifier to each of said plurality of versions of said data set;
- select a version of said data set from said plurality of versions of said data set based on a version identifier assigned to said version of said data set;
- and
- generate said report based on said version of said data set.
