A system and method allowing customers to create and place advertisements on advertisement presentation nodes via a communication network.

A method for creating and presenting advertisements, comprising:
- providing an advertisement service permitting the creation of one or more advertisements;
- providing one or more advertisement display nodes able to communicate with said advertisement service;
- creating an advertisement using said advertisement service;
- enabling said one or more advertisement display nodes to present said advertisement to an audience.
