Abstract
An intravenous pacemaker electrode comprises an electrode cable comprising a line, a duct and an insulating sleeve as well as an electrode head attached to the distal end of the line in order to transmit stimulation pulses, with an ultrasound catheter being moveable in the duct, and comprising a thread-like guide element as well as an ultrasound measurement element attached to its distal end.

- a line;
- a duct;
- an insulating sleeve;
- an electrode head attached to a distal end of the line to transmit stimulation pulses;
- and
- an ultrasound catheter that is moved in the duct and comprising a thread-like guide element and an ultrasound measurement element attached to a distal end of the ultrasound catheter.

A diagnosis and treatment device, comprising:
- an intravenous pacemaker electrode, comprising;
- a line;
- a duct;
- an insulating sleeve;
- an electrode head attached to a distal end of the line to transmit stimulation pulses;
- an ultrasound catheter that is moved in the duct and comprising a thread-like guide element and an ultrasound measurement element attached to a distal end of the ultrasound catheter;
- and
- an evaluation unit that interacts with an ultrasound measurement element of the pacemaker electrode and is programmed in such a way that influences of a line in the pacemaker electrode on the ultrasound measurement are at least partially eliminated by the programming.
