Abstract
The novel 2-oxyamino-1-cyclopentene-1-nitriles of the formula (I) in which the substituents R1 and R2 are as defined in the description are highly suitable for protecting industrial materials against infestation and destruction by microorganisms.

- A represents a radical radical
- in which
- R1 and R2 independently of one another represent hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro or represent in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heterocyclyl, —COR5, —CONR6, —CSNR7 or —SO2R8,
- where
- R5 to R8 independently of one another represent in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl or heterocyclyl,
- and
- R3 and R4 independently of one another represent hydrogen, or represent in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl and heterocyclyl,
- or a salt or acid addition compound thereof.
