Abstract
Treating fluids comprising sulfonated gelling agent polymers, and methods of use in treating subterranean formations, are provided. The treating fluids comprise water and one or more sulfonated gelling agent polymers. In one embodiment, the methods comprise providing a treating fluid that comprises water and one or more sulfonated gelling agent polymer; and introducing the treating fluid into a subterranean formation.
Claims20
A method of treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a well bore comprising:
- providing a treating fluid that comprises water and one or more sulfonated gelling agent polymers;
- and
- introducing the treating fluid into the subterranean formation.
A method of forming one or more fractures in a subterranean formation penetrated by a well bore comprising:
- providing a treating fluid that comprises water and one or more sulfonated gelling agent polymers;
- and
- introducing the treating fluid into the subterranean formation at a rate and pressure sufficient to create or enhance one or more fractures therein.
A high ionic strength treating fluid composition for treating a subterranean formation comprising water and one or more sulfonated gelling agent polymers.
