A blank and method for the production of dental shaped bodies in machining equipment having at least two tools located in the machining chamber of the machining equipment, including a corpus of tooth restoration material, from which the shaped body can be carved by means of at least one of at least two tools by material removal. The blank exhibits at least two gages, each of which is in the form of a recess, the geometry of which is such that the tool selected for the cutting operation can be recognized by means of at least one of the gages by reference to its outer contour, the at least two gages being disposed on the blank in such a way that they can be simultaneously engaged by the at least tools when the blank is clamped in the machining equipment for carving purposes.
A blank for the production of dental shaped bodies in machining equipment having at least two tools located in the machining chamber of said machining equipment, comprising a corpus of tooth restoration material, from which the shaped body can be carved by means of at least one of said at least two tools by material removal, wherein the blank exhibits at least two gages, each of which is in the form of a recess, the geometry of which is such that the tool selected for the cutting operation can be recognized by means of at least one of said gages by reference to its outer contour, said at least two gages being disposed on the blank in such a way that they can be simultaneously engaged by said at least tools when said blank is clamped in the machining equipment for machining purposes.
A blank for the production of a dental shaped body in machining equipment, comprising a corpus of tooth restoration material, from which said shaped body can be machining by means of at least one tool by material removal, wherein said blank exhibits at least one gage in the form of a recess, the geometry of said recess being such that a tool selected for a carving operation which tapers toward its cutting edge can be recognized by means of said gage by reference to its outer contour, which recess is tapered toward its base and the aperture angle of the conical envelope of said tapered recess is at least equal to the aperture angle of the conical envelope of said tool tapered toward its cutting edge.
A blank for the production of dental shaped bodies in machining equipment, comprising a corpus of tooth restoration material, from which the shaped body can be carved by means of at least one tool by material removal, wherein said blank has at least one gage in the form of a recess, the geometry of said recess being such that the tool selected for the machining operation can be recognized by means of said gage by reference to its outer contour, and a further recess is provided in the machining equipment for indexing said blank and for directional positioning of said blank.
A blank as defined in claim 8, wherein at least one of the recesses is in the form of a groove or a bore.
A blank as defined in claim 9, wherein at least one of the recesses of the gages contains at least two subregions, the second subregion being inside the first subregion and the subregions form a cross-section which decreases toward the base of said recess.
A method for the production of dental shaped bodies having a corpus of tooth restoration material, from which the entire shaped body can be carved in machining equipment by material removal by means of at least two tools, wherein the tools selected for the carving operation are simultaneously checked, before use, with reference to the outer contour thereof with the aid of the at least two gages provided on the blank.
