Optical pluggable transceiver

An optical transceiver usable in a configuration inserted into a cage installed on a host system and capable of coupling in optical with an optical fiber by receiving an optical connector attached in the optical fiber, the optical transceiver comprising:

• an optical subassembly for converting between an optical signal and an electrical signal;
• a substrate for installing an electronic circuit electrically coupled with the optical subassembly;
• a heat dissipating member thermally coupled with the electronic circuit for conducting and radiating heat generated by the electronic circuit, the heat dissipating member including first and second surfaces opposite to each other;
• a frame made of resin for installing the optical subassembly, the substrate and the heat dissipating member;
• and
• a metal cover for putting the optical subassembly, the substrate, the frame, and the heat dissipating member therein,
• wherein the first surface of the heat dissipating member comes in thermally contact to the electronic circuit and a greater part of the second surface exposes outside of the optical transceiver.
