• means adapted to for each of said at least one signal group (y(1), . . . , y(J)) to multiply each signal symbol with a corresponding pattern symbol of a said at least one pattern group (ŝ(1), . . . , ŝ(J)) and to derive a sum (Σ1, . . . , ΣJ;
• Aj) of the products of multiplication;
• means for applying a weight factor (x1, . . . , xJ;
• Ĉj) of one or more weight factors (x1, . . . , xJ;
• Ĉj) to each sum (Σ1, . . . , ΣJ;
• Aj) giving a weighted sum (x1Σ1, . . . , xJΣJ;
• Aj/Ĉj), where said one or more weight factors (x1, . . . , xJ;
• Ĉj) are selected to preserve an orthogonality relation of said pattern symbols of the at least one pattern group;
• and
