Abstract
An apparatus includes a socket and a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) module installed in the socket.
Claims38
An apparatus comprising:
- a socket;
- and
- a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) module installed in the socket.
A method comprising:
- providing a socket;
- and
- installing a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) in said socket.
An apparatus comprising:
- a socket which includes a plurality of slots, each slot configured to receive a respective integrated circuit package;
- a microprocessor package installed in a first one of said slots;
- and
- a memory module installed in a second one of said slots.
A method comprising:
- providing a socket having a plurality of slots;
- installing a microprocessor package in a first one of said slots;
- and
- installing a memory module in a second one of said slots.
An apparatus comprising:
- a socket that includes a plurality of slots;
- and
- a plurality of memory modules, each of the memory modules installed in a respective one of the slots.
A method comprising:
- providing a socket which has a plurality of slots;
- and
- installing a respective memory module in each of the plurality of slots.
A socket configured to mount integrated circuits to a circuit board, the socket comprising five slots, said five slots including a central slot, said central slot having a first side wall that is shared with a second one of said slots and with a third one of said slots, said second and third ones of said slots sharing a common wall that extends perpendicularly relative to said first side wall, said central slot also having a second side wall that is opposite to and parallel to said first side wall, said second side wall being shared by said central slot with a fourth one of said slots and with a fifth one of said slots, said fourth and fifth ones of said slots sharing a common wall that extends perpendicularly relative to said second side wall.
A socket configured to mount integrated circuits to a circuit board, the socket comprising four slots, said slots in a two-by-two array.
