Abstract
A process for producing an inkjet ink composition is provided and includes dispersion-treating a coloring material in a non-aqueous solvent with a dispersant having no coloring material-dispersing property, the coloring material being covered with a resin insoluble in the non-aqueous solvent. An inkjet ink composition produced by the production process is provided.

A process for producing an inkjet ink composition, which comprises dispersing a coloring material in a non-aqueous solvent with a dispersant having no coloring material-dispersing property, the coloring material being covered with a resin insoluble in the non-aqueous solvent.
An inkjet ink composition comprising:
- a non-aqueous solvent;
- a coloring material covered with a resin insoluble in the non-aqueous solvent;
- and a dispersant having no coloring material-dispersing property.
