Mounting structure of liquid sensor and liquid container

A liquid container comprising:

• a container body having a liquid delivery opening for sending out liquid reserved therein;
• and
• a sensor which is mounted on the container body so as to detect liquid therein,
• wherein the sensor includes:
• a vibration cavity forming base portion which has a first surface and a second surface opposed to each other and in which a cavity for receiving a medium as a detection target is opened toward the first surface side and a bottom surface of the cavity can vibrate;
• and
• a piezoelectric element having a first electrode formed on the second surface side of the vibration cavity forming base portion, a piezoelectric layer formed on the first electrode, and a second electrode formed on the piezoelectric layer,
• wherein the container body has an upstream space communicating with the cavity through an upstream flow path and a downstream space communicating with the cavity through a downstream flow path, and
• the liquid container further comprising an elastic seal member which is disposed between the sensor and the container body and which seals a space between the sensor and the container body.

A liquid container comprising:

• a container body having a liquid reservoir therein, a delivery path for sending out liquid from the liquid reservoir, and a sensor receiving portion disposed in the delivery path;
• a sensor unit which is mounted on the sensor receiving portion and which detects liquid;
• a buffer chamber which is disposed in the container body, is adjacent to the sensor receiving portion through a sensor receiving wall, and is disposed in the delivery path so as to communicate with the upstream side and the downstream side of the delivery path;
• a ring-shaped seal member having elasticity and sealing a space between the sensor unit and the sensor receiving wall;
• and
• a pressurizing spring that pressurizes the sensor unit against the sensor receiving wall to crush the seal member and to give a surface pressure necessary for the sealing to the seal member, the sensor unit, and the sensor receiving wall.
