Abstract
A mobile detecting apparatus which can include the ability to transmit data to and receive instructions from a remote location, detect multiple objects (e.g. stacked or side by side containers or cargo), and provide efficient traffic flow (e.g. at cargo port).
Claims33
A mobile detecting apparatus comprising:
- a mobile and positionable structural support comprising an opening with internal dimensions sufficient to sit astride at least one traffic lane, wherein said structural support is positionable so as not to change a traffic lane pattern;
- and
- at least one detector disposed on said structural support.
The apparatus of claim 9 wherein said at least one detector comprises a radiation detector.
A mobile method of detecting an object of interest comprising the steps of:
- positioning a mobile and positionable structural support so that it sits astride at least one traffic lane, the structural support comprising an opening with internal dimensions sufficient to sit astride the at least one traffic lane while not changing the traffic lane pattern;
- and
- detecting the object of interest with at least one detector disposed on the structural support.
